Finishing & assembly

Welding & assembly

From processed part to ready-to-fit sub-assembly

TPS complements its cutting and processing capabilities with welding and assembly operations, taking you from an individual part to a component or sub-assembly ready to fit into your product.

Our workshop works with steel, stainless steel and aluminium, using processes suited to the characteristics of each material.

Welding

TIG, MIG/MAG: mastering metal welding

We carry out TIG and MIG/MAG welding on steel, stainless steel and aluminium.

The choice of process depends on the material, thickness, joint geometry and required level of finish.

TIG gives close control of the weld bead and is particularly suited to joints that require precision and a high-quality appearance.

MIG/MAG offers greater productivity and is well suited to industrial assemblies that need steady production rates.

Mastering several processes allows us to adapt the work to the product rather than impose a single process.

Assembly

Assembly beyond welding

Not every assembly needs a weld bead.

Depending on the product’s function and the manufacturing constraints, TPS also assembles by screwing and riveting, and carries out fitting operations.

This range allows us to choose the most relevant solution in terms of mechanical constraints, ease of dismantling, finish and product cost.

Process

An integrated manufacturing chain

Welding and assembly can follow on directly from our other processes.

01

A part can be laser cut, perforated or punched, bent or formed, then welded and assembled.

02

We can also combine several technologies on the same product to manufacture a complete sub-assembly.

03

This approach reduces outsourced operations and interfaces between suppliers, while keeping better control of manufacturing.

From sheet to component, from component to sub-assembly: we can take on several stages of your manufacturing.

Industry

Meeting the demands of industry

For a buyer, entrusting several operations to the same manufacturer simplifies flows and supply management.

For technical teams, it also makes it easier to take assembly constraints into account from the design of the part.

At TPS, welding and assembly operations can be planned upstream together with cutting and forming operations.

We do not make each part in isolation: we think about how they need to work together.

Sub-assemblies

From part to assembled product

Our aim is to go beyond simply manufacturing components whenever the project allows.

Working from your drawings or specifications, we can produce the metal parts, process them, assemble them and carry out the fitting needed to obtain a sub-assembly ready to integrate.
